Current National Weather Service and private forecast models indicate the overnight low for Los Angeles on September 4 will likely settle in the mid-60s, driven by a persistent marine layer and light onshore flow that moderates coastal temperatures. This aligns closely with the 1991–2020 climatological average low of 64.5 °F for the date, while historical extremes range from a record 55 °F to occasional warmer nights near 70 °F under offshore winds. Trader emphasis on the 66–67 °F bin over 64–65 °F reflects slight upward bias in recent model guidance and uncertainty around exact timing of any clearing or wind shift, with lower-probability outcomes like 74 °F+ or sub-60 °F representing low-likelihood deviations from typical late-summer conditions. Updated model runs and official National Weather Service briefings expected overnight will provide the next key data points for resolution.
