Official Malaysian Meteorological Department forecasts indicate a maximum of 35°C for Kuala Lumpur on September 3 amid persistent haze and limited thunderstorm activity, while international models from sources like the Met Office and ensemble guidance cluster daily highs between 31–34°C. Afternoon convection typical of the inter-monsoon period, combined with high humidity and variable cloud cover, tends to moderate peak readings even when steering patterns favor warmer conditions. Recent observations show afternoon maxima near 32–33°C, supporting market-implied odds favoring 33°C and 34°C as the most probable outcomes ahead of any final model runs or observational updates.
