Current National Weather Service and model guidance indicate a low near 56°F for San Francisco on August 29, driven by the deepening marine layer and onshore flow behind an approaching Pacific trough. This pattern favors stratus and fog development overnight, limiting radiative cooling while suppressing daytime highs into the mid-60s. Historical August climatology places the average low at 56.0°F, providing a stable baseline that aligns with the market’s heaviest weighting on the 56-57°F bin. Recent forecasts show little model spread, though minor variations in marine-layer depth or wind strength could shift the minimum by 1–2°F. Updated NHC and local short-range guidance expected through the evening will refine the final overnight minimum before resolution.
