This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded by the Hong Kong Observatory in degrees Celsius on 19 Jul '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from the Hong Kong Observatory, specifically the "Absolute Daily Max (deg. C)" the specified date once information is finalized in the relevant "Daily Extract", available here: https://www.weather.gov.hk/en/cis/climat.htm This market can not resolve until data for this date has been published. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures in Celsius to one decimal place (eg, 9.1°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Any revisions to temperatures recorded after data is initially published for this market's timeframe will not be considered for this market's resolution.Hong Kong Observatory and ensemble model guidance point to a July 19 maximum most likely in the 29–31 °C range, aligning with the market’s tight clustering around those outcomes. Typical mid-July climatology features daytime highs near 31 °C under southwesterly monsoon flow, high humidity (75–95 %), and scattered thundery showers that limit solar heating and cap extreme readings. Normal-to-above-normal seasonal temperatures noted in the HKO July–September outlook provide the broader backdrop, while short-term variables such as cloud cover, rainfall timing, and urban heat-island effects will determine whether the peak settles at 30 °C or edges toward 31–32 °C. Updated HKO forecasts and 48-hour model runs ahead of the date remain the key catalysts for any shift in trader-implied probabilities.
