Recent primary turnout in multiple states has exceeded historical averages, reflecting stronger Democratic enthusiasm tied to low presidential approval ratings and economic concerns, alongside expanded mail and early voting access that raises the participation floor. These elements, combined with a competitive House map and demographic shifts like increased youth registration, have concentrated trader consensus on the 115–130 million vote range. The narrow spreads among leading brackets underscore uncertainty over whether opposition energy and structural changes will push totals above 2022 levels or if Republican mobilization and typical midterm drop-off will cap participation closer to the middle of that band. Scheduled developments through November, including final get-out-the-vote efforts and any shifts in generic ballot trends, could widen the distribution.
