Recent National Weather Service and model guidance points to a mild overnight low in Chicago on September 15 driven by southerly flow ahead of a frontal system, with forecast lows clustered in the mid-60s °F. Persistent cloud cover and scattered showers or thunderstorms are expected to limit radiational cooling, while warm advection from the south maintains elevated minimum temperatures compared with the 1991–2020 climatological average low near 59 °F. Ensemble spreads reflect modest uncertainty in exact cloud timing and precipitation coverage, which accounts for the tight clustering of market-implied probabilities across the 64–69 °F bins. Updated model runs and National Weather Service briefings over the next 48 hours will likely refine these thresholds ahead of market resolution.
