Persistent high pressure and clear skies are sustaining strong daytime heating across Atlanta, with National Weather Service and private model consensus projecting a September 3 high near 96°F under light southeast winds and minimal cloud cover. This setup maximizes solar insolation while suppressing convection, aligning with the market’s heaviest volume on the 96-97°F bin at 50% implied probability. Recent model runs have remained stable, showing little deviation from mid-90s readings, though minor shifts in boundary-layer moisture or wind could nudge the peak into the 94-95°F or 98-99°F ranges that together hold about 40% probability. Historical September averages near 86°F underscore how anomalous the current ridge-driven warmth remains.
