Northerly winds and transitional spring conditions in the Southern Hemisphere are the main drivers lifting market-implied odds toward 23–24 °C highs for Buenos Aires on 2 September. Official Servicio Meteorológico Nacional guidance points to a 21 °C maximum under mostly cloudy skies with northwest flow, while several international models and ensembles show potential for 1–3 °C warmer readings if cloud cover thins or winds strengthen during peak heating hours. Low precipitation risk and modest dew points limit evaporative cooling, but forecast spread in maximum temperature—arising from differences in boundary-layer mixing and shortwave radiation—keeps 21 °C, 23 °C, and 24 °C outcomes closely bunched in trader pricing. Updated model runs and SMN briefings over the next 48 hours will likely narrow the range before resolution.
