Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.Recent short-term model guidance for Panama City, Panama, points to afternoon highs of 31–33°C on September 2, with the tight market split between 32°C and 33°C+ reflecting uncertainty in peak heating. Key drivers include variable cloud cover and convective timing tied to the Intertropical Convergence Zone, high humidity limiting diurnal rise, and light winds reducing mixing. A strengthening El Niño, with Niño 3.4 anomalies near +1.8°C, favors reduced rainfall and clearer intervals that could allow greater insolation and push readings toward or above 33°C, though scattered thunderstorms may cap extremes. Historical September averages near 30°C provide baseline context, while updated NHC/NOAA guidance and local observations will refine resolution thresholds.
