Recent forecast guidance for Chengdu on September 19 points to a daytime high near 24–25°C under persistent cloud cover and light rain or showers, which limits solar insolation and caps afternoon warming in the Sichuan basin. Ensemble models show modest spread around this range, reflecting typical uncertainty in boundary-layer moisture and weak steering flow during the post-monsoon transition. Historical September climatology places average highs near 25°C, but current conditions favor slightly cooler outcomes than clear-sky analogs. Updated model runs and surface observations over the next 48 hours will refine the exact maximum and determine whether the peak settles at 24°C or edges toward 26°C.
