Forecast models from multiple agencies project a peak near 32°C in Shenzhen on September 17 under sunny-to-partly-cloudy skies with light easterly winds and moderate humidity near 65-75%. This aligns with late-summer subtropical patterns where daytime insolation drives highs 1–2°C above the 30°C seasonal baseline when cloud cover remains limited. Slight divergences in model runs arise from uncertainties in afternoon convection timing and boundary-layer mixing, which could cap the maximum at 31°C or allow brief clearing to reach 33°C. Market-implied odds reflect this narrow spread, with traders weighting official guidance against historical September extremes rarely exceeding 34°C absent strong high-pressure anomalies. Updated regional forecasts expected within 24 hours may refine resolution probabilities.
