Recent National Weather Service and model guidance indicate a high near 83°F for Denver on September 16 amid scattered thunderstorms and increasing cloud cover, following a sharp cooldown from mid-90s readings earlier in the week. A passing trough and associated moisture are steering cooler easterly flow and limiting daytime heating compared to the seasonal average of 79°F, while storm timing and coverage introduce variability in peak temperatures. Trader consensus across the 80–85°F buckets reflects this narrow forecast range, with higher outcomes discounted due to expected convective development and lower bins remaining viable if storms arrive earlier or produce more widespread cloudiness. Updated model runs and NWS briefings over the next 48 hours will clarify intensification or steering details that could shift the daily maximum.
