Forecast models from NOAA and other agencies indicate scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms for Miami on September 16, driven by northeasterly flow and an approaching tropical system, which should limit daytime heating through persistent cloud cover and evaporative cooling. This setup favors maximum temperatures in the mid-to-upper 80s°F, aligning with market-implied odds clustering around 84–89°F bins. Historical September averages near 89°F provide context, but the current pattern deviates due to enhanced moisture and reduced insolation. Model consensus shows moderate uncertainty in storm timing and coverage, which could allow brief clearing and a higher peak or heavier rain suppressing it further; updated NHC and local forecasts over the next 48 hours will refine these variables.
