Official National Weather Service observations from Austin Bergstrom International Airport recorded a minimum temperature of 73°F on September 16, 2026, aligning precisely with the market's 99.6% implied probability for the 72-73°F bin. This outcome reflects persistent warm overnight conditions driven by a strong southerly flow, high humidity, and limited radiational cooling under partly cloudy skies amid an ongoing late-summer heat pattern that pushed daily lows well above the 1991-2020 climatological average of 68°F. Model consensus and real-time station data converged on this value with minimal spread, and the market's near-certainty stems from the completed observation window. Only an unreported station discrepancy, post-hoc data revision, or measurement anomaly could alter the recorded low, though such revisions are rare for verified NWS reports.
