Official Met Office guidance points to a 21°C maximum in London today under high pressure, with sunny spells, variable cloud, and light northwesterly winds limiting mixing and allowing modest daytime heating. Hourly observations show temperatures climbing from the mid-teens in the morning toward a peak near 21°C by mid-afternoon before cooling. This aligns with September climatology slightly above the long-term average high of around 19°C, though model consensus and real-time data introduce minor uncertainty around whether the peak reaches or holds at 21°C versus settling at 20°C. The market-implied odds reflect this narrow range, with traders weighting recent stable conditions and forecast updates.
