Current forecasts from official monitoring agencies place the highest temperature in Los Angeles on September 20 near 76–78°F, aligning with the market's leading 76–77°F outcome at 60% implied probability. Persistent marine layer clouds and fog through the morning, followed by partial afternoon clearing and moderate southwest winds around 15 mph, are limiting daytime heating near the coast. These conditions match seasonal climatology, where the long-term average high sits at approximately 76°F. Model consensus shows limited warming potential absent strong offshore flow or clear skies, keeping odds for 78°F or higher below 10%. Updated National Weather Service guidance and real-time observations will determine the final recorded maximum for market resolution.
