Recent ensemble forecasts from the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts show Milan under a persistent high-pressure ridge, with clear skies and light winds favoring strong daytime heating on September 21. This setup supports peak temperatures clustering around 29–30°C, where the narrow spread in market-implied odds reflects subtle model differences in boundary-layer mixing and the exact arrival of a weak northerly flow. Late-September climatology for the Po Valley places average highs near 23°C, so the current outlook represents a notable positive anomaly tied to the anticyclonic pattern. New model runs and observational updates from regional meteorological services over the next 48 hours will likely narrow the range between these two leading outcomes.
