Current forecasts from models such as GFS indicate Austin's minimum temperature on September 12 will likely fall in the mid- to upper 70s, driven by persistent southerly winds, high dew points near 75°F, and limited overnight radiative cooling under mostly clear skies following daytime highs near 100–102°F. This warm, humid pattern deviates from the 1991–2020 climatological average low of 69°F for the date, elevating probabilities for 74–77°F outcomes while the 36% market share on 69°F or below reflects lingering uncertainty around model spread and potential for slightly greater boundary-layer mixing. National Weather Service updates and new model runs overnight will provide the key data for refining these ranges ahead of resolution.
