Recent forecasts from multiple models converge on an overnight minimum of 15–16°C in Cape Town on September 21 under clear skies and light southeasterly flow. Radiative cooling overnight is moderated by the marine layer and residual warmth from the preceding day’s 25–28°C highs, while stable high pressure limits cloud cover and stronger winds that could alter the rate of temperature drop. Historical September minima average near 10–12°C, but current conditions reflect a warmer anomaly. With outcomes tightly bunched between 14°C and 16°C in the market, traders are pricing the narrow range of model spread and local microclimate effects expected before official minimum readings finalize.
