This market will resolve to "Yes" if James Fishback concedes in the 2026 Florida Governor Republican Primary by the specified date, at 11:59PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". A concession is defined as an unambiguous public statement that acknowledges that the candidate lost the 2026 Florida Governor Republican Primary, will not be the Republican Nominee to be Governor of Florida, or acknowledges the victory of an opponent. If a candidate makes these acknowledgements while also claiming that the election was rigged or that there was fraud, this will still qualify as a concession. Any public statement from the relevant candidate written or verbal will qualify. Speeches in which this candidate begins speaking within the time frame of this market will qualify, even if their declaration of concession falls outside the market’s timeframe. Only public statements from the relevant candidate will qualify. Reports of private conversations, e.g. if the candidate called the victor and conceded over the phone, will not count. The resolution source for this market will be public statements from James Fishback. Fishback, a long-shot Republican candidate in the August 18, 2026 Florida gubernatorial primary, trails frontrunner Byron Donalds by wide margins in polling and related prediction markets, with Donalds priced near 99% for the nomination. A July court ruling rejected residency challenges from rival Jay Collins, keeping Fishback on the ballot despite questions over his D.C. ties. Recent campaign developments, including low fundraising visibility and attacks from Trump-aligned figures, have reinforced his marginal standing. Traders assess the primary outcome and any post-election statements as the key drivers for concession timing, with the vote count and candidate responses on election night serving as immediate resolution factors.
