Former President Rumen Radev dominates trader consensus at 89% implied probability to become Bulgaria's next Prime Minister, driven by polls showing his new Progressive Bulgaria coalition leading ahead of the April 19 snap parliamentary election—the eighth in five years amid repeated failures to form stable governments. Radev resigned in January 2026 to run after the Zhelyazkov cabinet collapsed in December 2025, capitalizing on voter frustration with entrenched parties like GERB under Boyko Borissov (3%). Caretaker Prime Minister Andrey Gyurov, appointed in February by President Iliyana Iotova, trails at 5% as his interim role ends post-vote, with coalition negotiations under proportional representation poised to determine the outcome despite his pro-Western pledges. Late shifts from turnout or endorsements could still alter results.
