New York's 12th congressional district carries a D+33 Partisan Voter Index, anchoring the Democratic nominee's commanding position in the November 2026 general election. The June 2026 Democratic primary produced a clear winner in state Assembly member Micah Lasher, consolidating party support in this Manhattan-based seat previously held by longtime incumbent Jerrold Nadler. Forecasters across outlets rate the race Solid or Safe Democratic, reflecting consistent historical margins and limited Republican infrastructure. Trader consensus at 98.8% for the Democratic Party aligns with these structural factors. A shift would require an unprecedented scandal, candidate withdrawal, or turnout anomaly capable of overcoming the district's entrenched partisan balance.
