Incumbent Democratic Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez advanced from Washington’s August 4 top-two primary alongside Republican state Sen. John Braun, setting up the November 3 general election matchup in the swing district. Perez benefits from incumbency, established fundraising, and the seat’s gradual Democratic shift despite its 2024 Trump margin, while Braun draws support from rural voters and Trump endorsements. Recent Emerson polling showed the candidates nearly tied, and forecasters rate the race a toss-up or lean Democratic. Trader consensus reflected in current pricing assigns the Democratic nominee an 86% implied probability of victory, citing Perez’s structural advantages and the limited time remaining for Braun to close gaps before Election Day.

A candidate without a ballot-listed affiliation to either the Democrat or Republican parties will be considered a member of one of these parties based on the party with which they most recently expressed their intent to caucus at the time all of the House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources.
This market will resolve based on the result of the election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the United States government, specifically the Federal Election Commission (https://www.fec.gov/).
