The 2026 Quebec general election campaign, launched August 27 with voting set for October 5, has turned Lévis into a closely contested riding where incumbent Bernard Drainville of the Coalition Avenir Québec faces strong competition from Karine Laflamme of the Parti conservateur du Québec. Provincial polling trends and riding-specific projections reflect a toss-up dynamic driven by local priorities such as transit infrastructure, the stalled third link project, housing, and economic growth in the expanding area. Multiple other candidates from the Parti Québécois, Liberals, and Québec solidaire further fragment support, sustaining uncertainty in trader consensus and preventing any single contender from pulling ahead decisively in the market. Upcoming nomination deadlines and campaign events on regional issues could still shift momentum.
