Recent forecast model runs from agencies like the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts show high uncertainty in Moscow's early-September temperature due to competing high-pressure ridges and incoming Atlantic fronts, keeping the lowest reading on September 3 split nearly evenly between sub-9°C and 18°C-plus outcomes. Seasonal norms place daily lows near 12–15°C, but rapid shifts in 500 hPa geopotential heights can produce 5–8°C swings within 48 hours. Updated ensemble guidance expected in the next 24 hours will clarify whether a stronger cold pool or warmer southerly flow dominates, directly influencing resolution thresholds on the market.
