Recent National Weather Service and model guidance indicate mostly sunny skies and light southerly flow over Dallas on September 5, supporting maximum temperatures in the upper 90s. Strong solar insolation under clear conditions, combined with above-average dew points near 70°F and minimal cloud cover or precipitation, favors peak readings near 96–98°F rather than cooler or extreme values. Ensemble spreads remain modest, with local variations from urban heat islands or slight wind shifts the main sources of uncertainty between adjacent bins. Historical September averages near 91°F provide context, but the current pattern aligns with recent hot, stable conditions across north Texas. Updated model runs and the next NWS forecast discussion will refine resolution odds ahead of market close.
