Recent National Weather Service and ensemble model guidance points to northerly flow and partial clearing on September 5, favoring overnight radiative cooling and minimum temperatures centered in the upper 60s to low 70s. This aligns with the market's tight distribution around 68–71 °F. Key differentiating factors include dew-point depression under drier northerly air, which enhances surface cooling, versus residual moisture from prior days that could limit the drop. Historical September climatology for Central Park shows typical lows near 65 °F, so current guidance reflects a modest cool anomaly. Updated model runs and NWS forecast discussions over the next 48 hours will likely refine the exact threshold.
