**Persistent high pressure and southerly flow from the Gulf of Mexico are sustaining above-normal temperatures across North Texas, with official National Weather Service forecasts calling for a high near 101°F under mostly sunny skies and heat indices reaching 107°F.** Recent days have featured highs of 100–102°F amid a prolonged dry spell exceeding 50 days without measurable rain, amplifying the urban heat island effect in Dallas. Model consensus and observational trends support the market's tight split between 98–99°F (50.5% implied) and 100–101°F (44.5%), reflecting minor uncertainties in peak mixing, exact wind speeds, or localized cloud development that could cap or boost the daily maximum by a degree or two. Historical September averages near 91.5°F underscore the anomalous warmth, while the all-time September 9 record of 103°F sets a clear upper bound unlikely to be tested today.
