Current forecasts from multiple meteorological sources, including the India Meteorological Department and international models, point to a daytime high near 33°C in Lucknow on September 17, 2026, driven by lingering monsoon moisture, high humidity levels around 70-85%, and scattered thunderstorm activity that limits solar heating. This aligns with typical late-September climatology for the region, where average highs hover around 33-34°C amid frequent rain days. Recent observations show temperatures running 0.5°C above normal with active monsoon rainfall exceeding seasonal averages by about 6%, which has moderated extremes and supports the market's heaviest weighting on 33°C outcomes over higher or lower thresholds. Updated model runs closer to the date will refine cloud cover and precipitation timing, key variables that could shift the exact maximum by 1-2°C.
