This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Singapore Changi Airport Station in degrees Celsius on 4 Sep '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=wsss If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source. In the event that there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C. This market will resolve once the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, whichever comes first. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.**Current forecasts and Singapore's official outlook point to a daily maximum near 33°C on September 4, 2026, as the most probable outcome, aligning with the market's leading 64.5% implied probability for that threshold.** Singapore's equatorial location produces consistently high temperatures with limited seasonal variation, but the prevailing Southwest Monsoon and moderate-to-strong El Niño conditions (Nino 3.4 index around +0.9 to +1.3°C recently) are driving drier-than-average weather. This reduces cloud cover and rainfall, allowing greater solar heating and elevating daytime maxima. Official guidance from Singapore's Meteorological Service explicitly projects daily highs of 33–35°C for most days in the first half of September, with potential to exceed 35°C on isolated days amid the dry spell and regional haze risk. Recent model runs and short-term forecasts show September 4 highs clustered around 31–33°C (roughly 89–91°F), consistent with historical September mean maxima near 31.6°C but elevated by the current El Niño-enhanced dryness. The 32°C and 34°C outcomes capture the remaining uncertainty from minor variations in cloud timing or localized showers, while extremes below 31°C or above 35°C remain low-probability given the entrenched warm, stable pattern. Updated official briefings and refined model consensus ahead of the date will be the key near-term catalysts for any shifts in trader positioning.
