Recent meteorological forecasts from MetService and aligned models indicate an overnight low near 7–8°C in Wellington on September 21, driven by clear to partly cloudy skies enabling radiative cooling, moderate northerly winds shifting southerly, and dew points supporting minimums in that range under typical spring conditions. These data position 7°C as the leading market outcome at 56.5% implied probability, while 5°C and 6°C options reflect residual uncertainty from local microclimates and potential model revisions before official station readings finalize the daily minimum. Historical September lows average around 7–9°C, providing context for trader consensus on this narrow band.
