Recent National Weather Service and model guidance indicate a cooler air mass arriving behind a weak front, with northwest winds moderating highs near Lake Michigan for September 13. Forecasts converge on a maximum around 73–75°F under partly to mostly cloudy skies and a 20–30% chance of afternoon showers, consistent with seasonal norms for mid-September. Trader emphasis on the 74–77°F range reflects this consensus while acknowledging uncertainty from lake-effect cooling, variable cloud cover, and minor model spreads in boundary-layer mixing. Updated NWS briefings and afternoon observations on the 12th will refine the exact peak before resolution.
