Latest National Weather Service and model guidance for Austin on September 13 point to a high near 100°F under partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies with light southerly flow, supporting the market’s close split between the 100-101°F (42.5%) and 98-99°F (34.0%) bins. Forecast consensus reflects typical late-summer warmth exceeding the 1991-2020 average high of 91.6°F, tempered by modest uncertainty in afternoon cloud cover, boundary-layer mixing, and exact peak timing that can shift the observed maximum by 1-2°F. Historical analogs show September 13 highs reaching or exceeding 100°F in multiple recent years, yet no extreme heat setup is present. Updated model runs and evening observations will refine the final reading before market resolution.
