Latest National Weather Service guidance projects a Denver high near 84°F on September 12 under mostly sunny skies with a 20% afternoon thunderstorm chance after 2 p.m., driven by modest instability and southeast winds around 10-15 mph. This places the market's leading 82-83°F and 84-85°F bins in close contention, as subtle differences in convective timing, cloud cover, or dew-point mixing could shift the peak by a degree or two. Historical September averages near 80°F provide context, while current model consensus shows limited spread in surface temperatures before any storms develop. Updated NWS briefings and hourly observations will clarify whether heating reaches the upper or lower end of the favored range before resolution.
