Recent Met Office and BBC forecasts point to a mild, breezy day with southwest winds and periods of cloud or light showers limiting insolation, positioning 21–23 °C as the most probable maximum range for London on 19 September. Model guidance shows afternoon highs near 20–22 °C under overcast or broken conditions, consistent with the market’s heaviest trading on 22 °C. A high-pressure ridge building later in the weekend is expected to deliver clearer skies and warmer air only after the 19th, keeping that day’s peak below the seasonal late-September average of roughly 19–21 °C. Updated model runs and official briefings over the next 48 hours will determine whether any break in cloud allows a brief spike toward 23 °C or keeps readings capped near 21 °C.
