Current National Weather Service and private model guidance point to a mid-70s overnight low for Austin on September 24, driven by a warm, moist airmass with easterly flow, limited cloud cover, and no incoming cold front. Persistent high pressure and above-normal temperatures—highs near 96–97°F—have kept daily minima several degrees above the late-September climatological average of roughly 69°F. Trader sentiment remains split between the 67°F-or-below and 86°F-or-higher bins because models can still shift with the next 48-hour runs, while the narrower 74–75°F and 76–77°F ranges reflect the tight consensus around current guidance. Resolution hinges on the official 24-hour minimum at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.
