Recent National Weather Service and model guidance indicate a minimum temperature in the mid to upper 70s for Houston on September 24, with lows forecast near 76–79°F under partly cloudy skies and light northeast winds. Persistent high pressure and above-average warmth this month have kept overnight temperatures elevated, limiting radiational cooling compared to the 1991–2020 average low near 70°F. Trader consensus around the 71°F-or-below and 78–79°F bins reflects model uncertainty in cloud cover and boundary-layer mixing, which can shift the minimum by several degrees. Upcoming forecast updates from the Houston/Galveston NWS office and any revisions to dew-point or wind fields will likely drive the next market moves ahead of resolution.
