Recent official forecasts from the National Weather Service Houston/Galveston office and supporting model guidance indicate a daily minimum temperature in the upper 70s for Houston on September 3, driven by a warm, moist air mass with dew points near 75°F and light southeast winds that limit overnight radiational cooling. Persistent humidity and a 30-40% chance of afternoon thunderstorms may further suppress temperature drops, keeping readings above the early-September climatological average low of 74-75°F. Trader odds remain closely split across the 78-83°F range because small shifts in cloud cover timing, wind speed, or precipitation could alter the exact minimum by a few degrees before official observations finalize the market resolution.
