Trump’s approval rating has shown modest stabilization in the most recent polling averages, with Nate Silver’s model recording a slight rebound in net approval from an all-time low of -20.6 to -19.5 as of September 11. This movement follows sustained pressure from the Iran conflict’s effects on energy prices and broader economic sentiment, including voter concerns over cost of living and tariffs. Major trackers such as RealClearPolitics and others place overall approval between roughly 35% and 40%, with disapproval in the high 50s to low 60s. Traders appear to view the absence of fresh negative catalysts in the immediate term, combined with this incremental improvement in aggregates, as increasing the likelihood of a short-term uptick in the weekly measure. Midterm positioning and issue-specific handling of the economy and foreign policy remain key variables that could influence further shifts.
