Recent forecasts from Mexico’s Servicio Meteorológico Nacional project a September 21 high of 26–28 °C in Mexico City, aligning with the near-even split between the 27 °C+ (46.5 %) and 26 °C (41.5 %) outcomes. Persistent moisture from Pacific and Gulf inflows, combined with a mid-level trough, is sustaining variable cloud cover and light afternoon convection that limits surface heating. Light northerly winds and urban heat-island effects add modest warming potential, while scattered drizzle could suppress peaks if cloud decks thicken. Model runs differ mainly on the timing and extent of afternoon clearing, creating the tight market spread; updated official guidance and hourly observations on the 21st will resolve the final maximum.
