Current National Weather Service and model forecasts for Atlanta on September 18 point to overnight lows near 70–73°F under partly cloudy skies with only slight thunderstorm chances, aligning with the market's leading 72–73°F bin at 53% implied probability. Recent climatological data show September lows averaging 65°F historically, yet 2026 conditions have featured persistent warm advection and elevated dew points keeping recent minima in the low 70s. This pattern, driven by high pressure and limited frontal activity, reduces odds of sub-68°F readings while sustaining a secondary 32.5% chance for warmer 82°F+ outcomes if mixing or cloud cover persists longer than expected. Traders appear to weight the consensus forecast heavily given the short time to resolution.
