Recent polling averages for Sweden’s September 13, 2026 parliamentary election show the Social Democrats maintaining a clear lead, while the Sweden Democrats hold a consistent edge over the Moderate Party for second place. This positioning stems from steady SD support near 20 percent in July surveys, compared with Moderates around 17 percent, reflecting the ongoing strength of the right-wing populist bloc despite the centre-right government’s mixed record. No major late-campaign shifts have emerged in the final weeks to alter these relative standings among the main contenders. Trader consensus therefore assigns the Sweden Democrats an overwhelming probability of finishing second, with the Moderates retaining only a modest chance of closing the gap before election day.
