Traders see 27–28°C as the most probable high for Beijing on September 14, with outcomes closely matched because short-range ensemble forecasts show only modest spread in daytime maximums. The primary drivers are the position and intensity of the subtropical ridge combined with the timing of a weak northerly surge, which together control cloud cover, boundary-layer mixing, and afternoon insolation. Recent surface observations place current temperatures near mid-September climatology, while model consensus indicates limited potential for either strong warming under clear skies or cooling from increased moisture and wind. Updated guidance from the China Meteorological Administration and global model runs over the next 24–48 hours will refine these thresholds ahead of market resolution.
