Forecast models from the National Weather Service and private sources show Dallas under a strong high-pressure ridge on September 14, with southerly winds near 10-15 mph transporting warm, humid Gulf air and clear skies promoting intense daytime heating. This setup supports afternoon highs clustered near 99-101°F, aligning with market-implied odds favoring 100-101°F (46%) slightly over 98-99°F (39.5%). Minor differences in model timing of peak insolation or boundary-layer mixing explain the close contest between these bins. Historical September averages near 90°F and a 102°F record underscore how persistent late-summer warmth elevates the likelihood of triple-digit readings, though any unexpected cloud cover or wind shift could cap the high in the upper 90s. Updated National Weather Service guidance and hourly observations will provide the final resolution data.
