Recent National Weather Service forecasts indicate Houston highs near 91–92°F on September 26, driven by a persistent warm, humid airmass with northeast flow and modest afternoon sea-breeze convergence that could trigger isolated thunderstorms. This places the most likely maximum in the low-90s range, well below recent readings of 95–99°F earlier in the week yet above typical late-September climatology near 89°F. Model consensus shows limited day-to-day variability and only a 20% rain chance, reducing the odds of either extreme cooling from cloud cover or rapid warming. Trader sentiment remains nearly balanced between the 100°F+ and sub-82°F outcomes because short-range guidance can still shift several degrees with updated runs, while the 20% probabilities clustered across mid-80s to upper-90s bins reflect the narrow expected range and resolution thresholds tied to official daily maximum observations.
