This split reflects typical late-September variability in central Texas, where weak frontal boundaries or moisture from the Gulf can alter diurnal temperature ranges by 10–15°F within 48 hours. Historical climatology places average lows near 68°F, underscoring the current forecast spread. Updated National Weather Service and ensemble guidance expected within the next 24 hours will likely narrow probabilities ahead of market resolution.
