Official measurements from Environment and Climate Change Canada recorded a daily maximum of 23°C in Toronto on September 11, 2026, under clear skies and light winds that aligned closely with the 1991–2020 climatological average high of 23.0°C for the date. This observed value produced the market’s 100% implied probability for 23°C, as post-event verification leaves little room for alternative outcomes. Traders priced in near-certainty once preliminary station data and model consensus confirmed conditions would not exceed or fall short of this threshold. A realistic challenge would require a subsequent revision to the official record, such as an instrument calibration adjustment or reanalysis of hourly observations, though such changes remain rare for recent Canadian surface data.
