Forecast models from the National Weather Service and other agencies indicate a minimum temperature for New York City on September 18 near 70°F, driven by a shift to northerly winds behind a weak frontal passage that reduces humidity and promotes clearer skies overnight. This setup favors radiative cooling under lighter winds around 10 mph from the north, with afternoon highs near 80-85°F giving way to lows in the upper 60s to low 70s by early morning on the 19th. Recent observations show September minima tracking close to seasonal norms amid variable cloud cover, though model consensus points to limited further cooling unless winds calm more than expected. Upcoming NWS updates and real-time surface observations will refine these ranges ahead of market resolution.
