The solidly Republican character of New York’s 24th Congressional District, rated R+11 on the Cook Partisan Voting Index and spanning rural counties along Lake Ontario, underpins trader consensus favoring the Republican nominee at 83.5 percent. Incumbent Claudia Tenney, first elected in 2020 and re-elected with 65.7 percent in the prior cycle, faces no primary opposition ahead of the June 23 vote and enters the November general with established fundraising and name recognition. Forecasters including the Cook Political Report, Inside Elections, and Sabato’s Crystal Ball classify the seat as Solid or Safe Republican. Democratic primary contenders, including Alissa Ellman and Diana Kastenbaum, confront structural headwinds in a district that has consistently supported Republican presidential and House candidates by double-digit margins.
