**Market-implied odds for Argentina’s 2026 annual inflation show a tight contest between the 30.0-34.9% and 25-29.9% brackets, reflecting trader focus on the pace of disinflation under President Milei’s fiscal surplus and managed exchange-rate framework.** Recent INDEC data place July year-over-year inflation at 33.8%, with monthly readings near 2.1% after an earlier energy-price shock from Middle East tensions. Central Bank REM surveys and private analyst forecasts converge around a 30% year-end outcome, supported by contained monetary aggregates, reserve accumulation, and positive real rates, though seasonal pressures and inertia in regulated prices create upside risks. The next monthly release and any further BCRA communications on the policy rate path will likely influence positioning ahead of year-end resolution.
